A 22-year-old classic bistro with a focus on home-cooked French food, Le Bouchon is all about the details. From the yellowing framed photographs to the tile floor, chef-owner Jean-Claude Poilevey transports you from Bucktown to France with the ambiance and traditional fare. This intimate bistro is the perfect place for a quiet date night; the quaint atmosphere is great for celebrating birthdays and anniversary dinners.

If you are feeling adventurous or homesick after a recent trip from France, try the Cassoulet Toulousain, Sautéed Rabbit in White Wine, Robust Onion Soup, or Salad Lyonnaise. And don't miss the lemon tart that is the talk of town — be quick though as Le Bouchon has been known to run out of them by 9pm! Finally, the night would not be complete without some of wine.
