Lyon Gastronomic Dinner

“Dinner in Lyon” with Chef Biggers and Lyon’s Pascale Remy

For the second annual festival “a la carte” a celebration of contemporary French food, celebrating the French Capital of Gastronomy Lyon was an easy choice for Café des Architectes’ Executive Chef Greg Biggers. Not only because Chef Greg Biggers has studied in Lyon at l’Institut Paul Bocuse but because Lyon holds some of the richest gastronomical history of anywhere in the world.
Lyon is surrounded by some of the finest raw materials in France, has been home to many top chefs including the “Pope of French Cuisine” Paul Bocuse, and maintains its rich culinary traditions with over 2,000 restaurants.

At a very special dinner on Wednesday, October 26, guests will enjoy an extended prix fixe dinner featuring classic Lyon cuisine, Lyon inspired wine pairings, and an intriguing open discussion about the rich history of food from this region. The discussion will be led by Lyon’s Pascale Remy and Chef Greg Biggers.

Pascale Remy has worked many years in France and in Chicago (Director at Alliance Française) always promoting French know-how and elegance in various domains including fashion, interior design, and decorative arts. Today she resides in Lyon and with great passion, has created the non-for profit organization Les Amis de la place Antonin Poncet. The “place” Antonin Poncet is one of the most exclusive squares in Lyon with superb views of the Rhône River and the Basilique of Fourvière. The organizations main goals are to preserve and protect the square’s architecture and to maintain the square’s stunning cleanliness and beauty.
